CTA Wilson Station Reconstruction

CTA Wilson Station Reconstruction

Located in Chicago's Uptown neighborhood, the project transformed a nearly 100-year-old station and fully replaced its aged elevated track structure. Construction work began in late 2014 and has included the replacement of more than 2,200 feet of Red and Purple Line tracks and delivered modernized upgrades including new escalators, wider stairwells, larger platforms and ADA compliant elevators. This $203 million project was a major regional economic development project expanding the traffic capacity of the station and adding commercial spaces within the station. The Wilson Station Reconstruction Project transformed the old station that was cramped and dimly lit into a modern, bright and convenient station that is fully accessible to people with disabilities. The station now includes customer amenities like escalators, elevators, more security cameras and stunning new artwork

Comprehensive Construction Consulting (CCC) is providing construction oversight on this project which includes the following:

  • Overseeing the construction of major structural support and retaining walls as well as the various design phases
  • Cost estimating services
  • Providing traffic controls that allow vehicular traffic to move cautiously and safely through the construction zone

What our client says

I want to express my most sincere thanks to the project management team for their leadership and support throughout the Jamieson annex project. The CCC management staff was very professional and responsive to any of my or my staffs needs during this project. I can't speak highly enough for these employees working under the PBC and feel they should be recognized for their outstanding work.
